David Logan (Director)
David excels specifically in our Business Development area and is the man to talk to if you want a detailed financial analysis for your business. Marketing, pension plans, budgeting and cash-flow forecasts are a few of the many professional services that David can offer you and your business. David's drive for perfection extends from the workplace onto fairways of Royal Belfast Golf Club and all keen golfers will know how well manicured they always are!
Stephen McMullen (Director)
Are your accounts up to date especially when the tax man comes to call? With over 25 years experience, specialising in all tax matters, Stephen is the answer to all your tax affairs including tax compliance, tax planning and if you're unlucky tax investigations. He also manages our Cookstown office offering a 1st class service (welly boots included) to sole proprietors and small businesses in the agriculture and horticulture industry.
Francis Carville (Director)
Francis started his professional career in a medium sized international firm of Chartered Accountants and progressed up through the ranks to manage one of its Northern Ireland offices. He divides his time between supervising and managing our team. Dealing mostly with our larger audits, he also lends his expertise to business development, budgeting and keeping our team (in)sane.
Pauline McDonnell (Client Manager)
Pauline being one of our senior auditors specialises in working alongside Francis in preparing and completing our larger audits. Versatility is Pauline's strong point and she can often be seen 'scooting' about the office giving assistance where-ever it is needed. Despite her busy schedule, somehow Pauline manages to stay calm and focused in all situations even when working with Francis who can at times be very not calm!
John Cummings (Client Manager)
Whatever the situation be it overwhelming or a simple query about your VAT, John is the man to bring clarity and calmness to your situation. John heads up our 'support services' specialising in VAT issues, budgeting, management accounts preparation as well as cash flow forecasts. Don't let all that technical work load fool you though as John certainly knows how to let his hair down (don't laugh) at any party!
John McCreery (Client Manager)
As well as the responsibility for completing some of our larger audits, John provides supervision to the younger members of the team. John has brought 10 years of accounting and auditing experience to McIlveen Howard and more recently has moved into practice management. A keen golfer, John is especially receptive to hear from clients who are prepared to talk business over a round of golf. Always helpful, his remit doesn't stop with giving out useful tips on business development, he might throw in a few free golfing tips to boot.
Leanne Hillock (Tax Manager)
If the words tax return scare you then look no further than Leanne who will de-stress you whatever the situation! With a reputation of being one step ahead even with the Inland Revenue, her dedication, knowledge and commitment to completing your tax return on time is commendable. Leanne takes the Inland revenue's soundbite to extremes when she is at work - "Tax doesn't have to be taxing" sure seems appropriate with Leanne on the ball.
Ernest Tate (Accounts Assistant)
If you're a farmer Ernest is the one to count your cows! Ernest is an expert in this field (excuse the pun) and prepares and completes accounts for sole traders and partnerships. He also lends his expertise to completing VAT Returns and Management Accounts.
Caoimhe Cosgrove (Accounts Assistant)
Caoimhe is one of our newly qualified Accounts Technicians and with her friendly, approachable manner makes our clients feel very at ease whatever the situation! Caoimhe spends her day completing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. She also when required provides assistance with SAGE and payroll.
Joanne Bowman (Accounts Assistant)
Joanne, an Accounts Technician can handle any crisis being the dedicated mum of a two year old, Joanne can stay calm and focused in any situation! Joanne specialises in the preparation of accounts for SME's and also excels in book-keeping (SAGE Line 50) and in the preparation of VAT Returns. Clients wanting to free up valuable time to work 'on' their business and not 'in' their business should call Joanne - let her take the boredom out of your book-keeping.
Patricia Mulholland (Payroll/H R Manager)
Patricia works Monday through Thursday preparing and issuing the wages for our payroll clients. She is highly qualified in SAGE Payroll and will tackle any question or issue you have regarding your wages. Patricia also takes care of our Human Resources department and decides who deserves a star at the end of a hard-working week!
Lynn Mackey (Receptionist / PA)
Lynn has been the smiling, friendly face of McIlveen Howard for over 25 years. Her dedication to the firm means she'll take on board anything that is placed on her desk (especially a bun or cake!), infact her duties and many talents are so numerous we would need a book to list them. If you don't know who to ask for, or where to start, start with Lynn.
Linda Arbuthnot (Receptionist / PA)
Since Linda joined our team three years ago, life certainly has not been dull, known as the practical joker of our team. Linda works during term time so that she can be with her two young children. Her work is so varied, ranging from administration to arranging courses and seminars for our staff. She is a valuable member of staff who is missed over the July and August school holidays.
